Do Not Vote for Kay Bailey Hutchison- A dangerous Conformist

I've never trusted Senator Hutchison. She really irritated me when her office sent a form letter in response to my detailed questions about the delay in repealing the "Wright Amendment". But I digress. Now it appears Ms. Hutchison is once again noticeably absent from some crucial voting in the senate.

Question: On the Amendment.
Bill: H R 3288
Vote description: Johanns Amendment Number 2355 as modified; Prohibiting use of funds to fund the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).
Result: Agreed to, 83-7, with 9 not voting.
Kay Bailey Hutchison voted- Not Voting

Citizens of Texas...I beg you ...please do not vote for this woman. If she will not take a stand on something this serious how can you expect her to govern our great state?

Our president is deluded

"The U.S. has nothing to fear from Venezuela, a large supplier of crude oil to the country, Obama said".

Really? "Nothing to fear"? Either our president is willfully ignorant or woefully deluded. Witness what is taking place before our eyes as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hugo Chavez cozy up to blast the free western world. But that tango is not as alarming as the words and opinions of Mark Lloyd (the president's diversity officer).

In 2008 Mr. Lloyd participated in a "media reform" conference extolling Hugo Chavez as a "wonderful leader" and bristled at the grief Mr. Chavez was getting from his own country's media giants. It seems they objected to Chavez revoking their radio licenses because they dared to question their president.

Mr. Lloyd doesn't have a problem with such actions. In fact, he wants to do whatever is necessary to "balance" the talk radio playing field. Do a google search for: "The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio" and read it very carefully. Our president has consciously chosen to surround himself with the likes of Mark Lloyd and Van Jones for a reason. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

The death of free speech?

Here we go! Instead of the fairness doctrine we have the "Diversity" Czar. I hope this is just a misunderstanding but it's not looking good. Never thought I'd live to see the death of free speech in this country.

This is another reminder that we live in a world infected with sin. To believe that some demigod or ideal can cure soceity's ills and create the perfect world is to be hopelessly ignorant of God's word.

Logan's Run Revisited?

People you really must listen to what the POTUS says. If not, you miss important pieces to his political puzzle. Witness this recent comment that is beyond chilling:

"We know we spend a huge amount of money that last year of life. More and more people are gonna say, I don't want people poking tubes, and, you know, uh, doing all sorts of...stuff. The most important thing we can do on end-of-life care right now: to encourage people to look at hospices as a...legitimate option." President Barack Obama

Forget worries over your medical care. Instead, concern yourself with whether you'll be afforded any care. If POTUS gets his government appointed medical board they'll decide which lives are worthy of continuance.

Why do we insist on playing God?

Because we think we know better. We're sure God can't possibly understand the pain or suffering we feel. We're dead wrong you know. God's only Son endured more pain and suffering than we'll ever begin to understand or feel. He did it to save all people. Every person ever born! It's a tragedy with eternal consequences for those who refuse to believe this fact.

Next time you're pondering life remember one of Satan's greatest lies is that human beings can or should decide who gets or keeps life.

If you've never seen the 70's film "Logan's Run" it's worth watching to see what can happen when people decide these matters on their own. Maybe POTUS should watch this film. Just like everyone he too is growing old.

I wonder if he will sign his family up for the new Government health care plan?

Sarah Palin Resigns as Governor of Alaska

While resigning wouldn't have been my choice, unlike the media I won't rush to judge her decision. I listened to her speech and I heard an honest and intelligent discourse. Is she angry? Maybe, but does it really matter? She's leaving the office in capable hands and now they can continue with the business at hand instead of focusing on funding a constant legal defense.

One thing is certain. This decent woman has endured some terrible attacks from people who don't know her or her family. I think she honestly wants to keep her state from wasting any more money on the trumped up ethics charges. For that alone we must applaud her unconventional wisdom.

God knows we need more politicians concerned about our hard earned money!

Everyone else is doing it

This was my favorite line as a kid. I remember my Dad's response like it was yesterday... "if everybody decides to jump off a cliff are you gonna do that too!"

So here I am venturing into the world of blogging. I'm a novice so don't rush to judge the basics of my little corner of the web just yet. Give me time to learn the ropes.
